The film premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on Jamuary 20, 2024. In April 2024, Roadside Attractions acquired distribution rights to the film, planning to release it theatrically sometime in fall the same year.[4]

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes the film holds an approval rating of 96% based on 27 reviews, with an average rating of 8.1/10.[5]
