Elk Prairie Township is one of sixteen townships in Jefferson County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 725 and it contained 350 housing units.[2]

Geography[edit]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.66 square miles (94.9 km2), of which 27.47 square miles (71.1 km2) (or 74.93%) is land and 9.19 square miles (23.8 km2) (or 25.07%) is water.[2] The township is centered at 38°10'N 88°59'W (38.170,-88.987).
