Tyrone Kirchengast is an Australian academic and author specializing in criminal law and criminal justice. He is an Associate Professor in the University of Sydney Law School.[1] He has written several leading books on the victim in criminal law and justice.[2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] His work is known for its impact on criminal trial reform. Tyrone Kirchengast currently serves as series co-editor for Palgrave Studies in Victims and Victimology.[14] He has given keynote and plenary addresses to victim rights and criminal law conferences worldwide.[1]
Tyrone Kirchengast graduated from Macquarie University with honors degrees in law and arts. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law, and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2002. He completed his doctorate in law at La Trobe University in 2004. [1]
