The China Institute (also known as TCI, formerly known as CIUA) is a think tank affiliated with the University of Alberta, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.[1] The research conducted by TCI focuses on Canada-China relations and the study of modern China. [2] The China Institute was founded in 2005 following an endowment provided by the Government of Alberta, and has since then remained as Canada's sole research institute devoted to research and analysis of China.[3]
