Pakistani actress Sajal Aly predominantly works in Pakistani Television. Her first on-screen appearance was a recurring role in an episode of the sitcom Nadaaniyaan (2010). Her first leading role came with soap opera Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain (2011–12). In the following years, her leading roles in Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein, Sitamgar (both 2012–13) and Mere Khuwabon Ka Diya (2013) couldn't not boost her carrer further. Her next appearances were in Meri Ladli (2012), Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah and Nanhi (both 2013), the last of which earned her critical acclaim and her first ever award nomination — nomination of Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress. Her roles in Gohar-e-Nayab, Sannata (both 2013), Aasmanon Pay Likha (2013–14), Ladoon Mein Pali, Chup Raho (both 2014–15) Khuda Dekh Raha Hai (2015) were not well received, except the third and fourth one of these which were highly rated of the year. However, her roles in Sannata and Khuda Dekh Raha Hai garnered her the nominations of Best TV Actress at the Lux Style Awards of the respective years. Her performance in Gul-e-Rana (2015) earned her, her first ever award, Hum Award for Best Actress and a nomination of Best Actress at 16th Lux Style Awards. She made her film debut as an aspiring actress in the relationship drama Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay (2016).[1] Aly made her Bollywood debut with Hindi film Mom (2017).[2] For her leading roles in O Rangreza (2017–18) and Yaqeen Ka Safar (2018) she got dual nominations of Best TV Actress at 17th Lux Style Awards. She portrayed the role of Chammi in period drama Aangan (2018–19) and gained widespread critical acclaim for her performance.
