Robby Hecht (born December 4, 1978) is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He has performed and toured with such recording artists as Gregory Alan Isakov,[1] Caroline Spence,[2] Liz Longley,[3] Chris Carrabba,[4] John Prine and Patty Griffin.[5] He has released four solo albums, one EP, a duo album with Caroline Spence, and a number of singles.
Music Career[edit]
Hecht moved to Nashville in 2005 and recorded his first solo album, Late Last Night, with producer Lex Price in 2008. He went on to record two more records with Price, including Last of the Long Days in 2011 and Robby Hecht in 2014.[6]
Hecht met Caroline Spence at the Planet Bluegrass Rocky Mountain Folks Festival,[7] and the two went on to release the single "Two People" in 2015 and an eight-song album of the same name in 2018[8]. Two of the songs from this album were featured on The Tony Kornheiser Show episode "Villainy" in 2023.[9]
In 2017, Hecht's single "The Ends and the Means" was featured on the science fiction podcast Welcome to Night Vale Episode #107, "The Missing Sky".[10]
