Quote This Woman+ is a non-profit organisation and online platform promoting gender equity. It does this by building a database of women+ experts who are happy to be quoted in the media. Journalists are then lobbied to access the database and contact these experts.^[1]

Currently in South Africa women are quoted as experts by media around 20% of the time. This declined to around 16% by the 2021 elections in South Africa according to Media Monitoring Africa^[2], despite 55% of voters being women.
