Pooneh (Persian:پونه) is a Persian origin name coming from a plant belonging to the mint family, more specifically the Pennyroyal, a plant native to the Middle east, Europe and North Africa. It is commonly used in Iran and Afghanistan
The spelling might differ depending on the country: Pooneh, Pune or Pouneh.
