Despite the challenges of war, Mkhitar lived a long and healthy life until his peaceful passing on January 6, 1995, succumbing to the natural progression of old age. Notably, he held the rank of captain in the Soviet Army, leaving behind a legacy of valor and dedication to the ideals of the USSR. He served in the GSOFG during his presumed time of "death". [1][2]
