Martlet is a major character in Undertale Yellow, a fangame of the hit game from 2015 called Undertale.

Martlet is a blue bird who can be met in Snowdin, right before you enter The Dunes. She is a member of the Royal Guard, a group of people working to kill any human falling into the underground. When she notices you, she recognizes you're a human, because of your Worn Hat and Toy Gun. She decides to fight you, and pulls out a Royal Guard instruction book, If you decide to fight two times, they get confused and they decide you are a good child, and guides you to a boat, Suddenly, the boat crashes, and you wake up in the Dunes.

Before the Wild East, Martlet joins you and follows you until the Wild East, The Feisty Five finds Martlet, and locks her up into a jail.

After fighting Starlo, Martlet gets out of Jail and decides shes not going with you to the Steamworks, however, She is informed Ceroba Ketsukane is going with you,

After getting out of The Steamworks, The Mail Whale gives you a letter (if youre on a neutral route.) You go to UG Apartments rooftop, even though Flowey persists you arent going, After proceeding, Martlet judges you if youre level is either 12, 3, etc, She says you should live with her before walking away with you. Suddenly, Flowey decides to kill Martlet and starts his battle.

However, on a pacifist route, Martlet didnt die and decides to try expose Ceroba Ketsukane after exiting Steamworks. You go to Chujin's old house and and find a opening, There are VHS tapes detailing Chujin's plan to get a Boss Monster's Soul.

You leave and you decide to chase Ceroba and go to New Home. You and Martlet overhear Starlo talking with Ceroba. Martlet steps in and both Starlo and Martlet get attacked by Ceroba, knocking them out, Ceroba decides to start her battle.

After the battle, Martlet wakes up and Starlo also wakes up, Clover gives up their soul after being reminded that monsters are trapped. In Genocide, Martlet fights Clover till theyre on 1 hp, Clover puts down their weapon and Martlet flees. In the Dunes, Martlet tries to convince Clover to change their ways, until being threatened with a gun. On UG Apartments, Martlet injects Determination and becomes Zenith Martlet, she locks up the fight button, and you can only attack by shooting her inbetween her attacks, After that, you get a cutscene of Martlet and Chujin enjoying coffee, and Martlet tells Chujin she got into the Royal Guard, Chujin tells Martlet about the dangers of humans, and the Snowdin Attack, injuring Dalv. It then cuts to Alphys leaving for important business, Martlet then steals DETERMINATION from the True Lab from UNDERTALE.

Martlet gets back up and starts Phase 2. The FIGHT Button is unlocked now, allowing hp to decrease faster. After killing Martlet, she tells you about how they only killed 5, But Clover killed dozens. Martlet tries to threaten Clover before yelling for help, Martlet then fades to dust.

In February 2019, a comic was made about her, depicting her running late to work and falling asleep when trying to be productive. In the game, Martlet is shown to be, as the game states, scatterbrained. Martlet seems to struggle with concentrating on her duties and often relies on a manual or lists so she can know what she has to do. Her laziness is also hinted at in the game with a note on Information booth that tells passerby to wake her up if she dozes off on the job.
