- Comment: The LA Times article is a good source, but the other sources look fairly bloggy and aren't on the list of reliable sources (WP:RSP), so I unfortunately have to decline the article. If you're interested in re-submitting, I recommend waiting until the subject has more media coverage. Please let me know if you have any questions! Leigh Folsom Boyd, also known as Leigh Folsom, is an American film editor,[1] who specializes in action films and superhero movies, editing Marvel films produced by Sony and Disney,[2] including Spider-Man: No Way Home and Spider-Man: Far From Home.[3] She also worked as the editor for the Fast and Furious franchise.
Career[edit]
Leigh Folsom started her editing career working as an assistant editor for the TV series Profiler (from 1996 to 2000) and Pacific Blue (from 1996 to 1999). In cinema, her career started in 2004 with the movie Man on Fire, where she also worked as an assistant editor. In 2009, she got into the Fast and Furious franchise working as an associate editor for Fast & Furious. Folsom remained working for the franchise until 2017, rising there to the position of head editor.
Movies edited by Folsom have some remarkable achievements, such as the billionaire box offices of Spider-Man: No Way Home,Spider-Man: Far From Home, Fast and Furious 7 and also nominations by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror for Best Editing.[4] Folsom has been described as a "big-budget editor"[5] or "one-woman blockbuster editor"[6] due to this noticeable long list of blockbusters that she has led as an editor[7] being one of very few women occupying this position in major Hollywood studios. Besides, Metacritic has attributed really favorable scores[8] for her works, such a 71 for Spider-Man: No Way Home, 69 for Spider-Man: Far From Home and 67 Fast and Furious 7.
