Leslie C. "Les" Gulbrandson (October 28, 1922 – October 3, 2009)[1] was a justice of the Montana Supreme Court from 1983 to 1989.[2]

Born in Vida, McCone County, Montana, Gulbrandson served in the United States Air Force for five years during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart and five Air Medals for missions over Japan. He received a J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1952, then returned to Glendive, Montana, where he engaged in the general practice of law for the next seven years and served as the Glendive City Attorney.[2]

District Judge, 7th Judicial District, 1960-1982. Gulbrandson was appointed District Judge for the 7th Judicial District by Hugo J. Aronson in December 1959 and served there until he was elected Associate Justice of the Montana Supreme Court in November 1982, retiring on August 31, 1989. He was married to Billie and has three stepchildren. Gulbrandson died on October 3, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 86.[2]
