``Kushura Union is an administrative area of Bangladesh Dhaka District.

Position and Volume[edit]

This union is located in Dhamrai Upazila under Dhaka Division Dhaka District[1]

It has an area of 24.69 sq km/9.53 sq mi.

History[edit]

Kushura Union is one of the Unions of Dhamrai Upazila. The union is ancient and situated on the banks of the Banshi River.

education[edit]

The educational system of Kushura region is already rich. In particular, Abbas Ali established a high school named after him in 1941 and Navyug College was established in 1972 after independence. Moreover, primary school was established here in 1914. It is noted that Kushura Abbas Ali High School has earned the title of a reputed school in Dhamrai Upazila. There is also Bersh Shivnath Educational Institution which is the oldest high school in this union, besides Deokhula Riaz Uddin Dakhil Madrasa is one of them.

Agriculture Kushura Union is agriculturally dependent and most of the soil here is loam to sandy loam. The main crops here are,

  1. Paddy
  2. Jute
  3. Maize
  4. lemon
  5. potato

But within this union, there is a large amount of paddy cultivation in Deokhula village.
