Han Ji-hyo (Korean: 한지효; born July 12, 2004),[1] professionally known as Jihan (Korean: 지한), is a South Korean singer, actress and host. She is a member of girl group Weeekly. She made her acting debut in the second season of the web-drama The World of My 17 and hosted the music program The Show from March 2, 2021, to December 14, 2021.
Early life[edit]
Jihan was born on July 12, 2004, in Anyang, Gyeonggi, South Korea.[1] She is the younger cousin of LUCY member Cho Won-sang.[2]
Career[edit]
Jihan became a Plan A Entertainment trainee on November 6, 2017.[3] She is also a former SM Entertainment trainee.[citation needed] She debuted as a member of Weeekly on June 30, 2020.[4]
On March 2, 2021, Jihan became a co-host of The Show alongside ATEEZ member Yeosang and WEi member Kim Yo-han.[5] Later in 2021, she made her acting debut as Im Seon-ji in the second season of web-drama The World of My 17, portrayed by Fanatics Doah in the first season, who works part time at a bakery and is expected to face worries about her career path.[6]
On April 24, it was confirmed that some members of Weeekly will be participating in the Mnet's new Queendom competition show series, Queendom Puzzle, which started from June 2023.[7] On May 18, revealed that Jihan and her fellow member Soeun became the first line-up participant of Queendom Puzzle.[8]
