Doreen Assaad, born June 23 in Canada, is a Quebec politician. She has been mayor of the city of Brossard since 2017, and was re-elected in 2021. She was also a city councillor from 2009 to 2017. She is the second woman mayor in the history of the city of Brossard.
Education[edit]
Doreen Assaad graduated from the University of Montreal in applied mathematics and computer science. As a specialist in business process optimization, she has worked within large companies including Desjardins Group, Canadian National and Bombardier Aeronautics. She is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Agent. This method is used in efforts to reduce variability in processes and thus aims to improve the overall quality of services.

Doreen Assaad was elected municipal councilor on November 3, 2009, for district 1 in Brossard, then she was elected for a second term as municipal councilor for district 9, still in Brossard.
