Submission declined on 11 January 2024 by Lopifalko (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Blume (born 27 September 1995) is an Australian musician, model and intersex activist. They are a prominent figure in advocating for intersex awareness and representation in the music industry and mainstream media.[1]
Early life[edit]
Born and raised in the Eastern bushland Suburbs of Melbourne,[2] Blume (who uses they/them pronouns) discovered they were born with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome at age 16. [3] Despite being made aware of their internal testes, Blume has never had any operations to remove them, or alter their anatomy. [4]
Career[edit]
Blume embarked on their advocacy journey by sharing their personal story online, amassing millions of views. The directive to keep their intersex identity a secret during their youth had an unexpected outcome, as Blume now seeks to revolutionise intersex representation in the media.[5]
