Betiton was founded in February 2020 by Arnaud Serour [1], the founder and owner of Sharp Connections Ltd . Arnaud has been a part of the iGaming industry for eight years, starting his career at Playtech before moving to Aspire Global as Head of Operations in 2014. He was also the Managing Director of the well-known Karamba brand before deciding to create his own brand using the Aspire Global platform [2] to power its casino and sports betting service. The Betiton brand only began to take shape in 2021 when it won its first-ever gaming award.

Since its launch in 2020, Betiton has been recognised as one of the fastest-growing iGaming brands in the industry.[3][4] The casino vertical of the brand has received several accolades over the years from some of the biggest conferences and award ceremonies in the iGaming world. In 2021, Betiton Sport was nominated for the Sportsbook Operator of the Year at the prestigious SiGMA Europe Gaming Awards.
SiGMA Europe Awards – Rising Star Operator 2021[edit]
Betiton won the Rising Star Operator of the Year award at the 2021 SiGMA Awards in Malta after a thorough selection process, just one year after launching.[5] They were nominated alongside other operators such as Stake.com, Betmaster, Ole!Bet, RollBit, and MrVegas.[6]
SiGMA Europe Awards – Marketing Campaign 2022[edit]
A year after winning the Rising Star Operator of the Year award, Betiton received the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award at the Europe Gaming Awards organised by SiGMA in 2022.[7] The operator won the award for their ‘Guest It On’ promotional campaign which involved players participating in a football quiz for a chance to win tickets to watch a football match with the legendary player, Djibril Cissé.[8] This campaign was a huge success, earning the company its second major award within just two years of operation. The company beat other nominees in the same category, such as Gamomat and Evoplay.
SBC Awards – Rising Star in Casino 2023[edit]
In September 2023, Betiton was awarded the title of Rising Star in the Casino category at the SBC Awards held in Barcelona.[9] The competition was tough, with other nominees such as Betsamigo, Glitnor Group, Rhino.Bet, Rootz Ltd, Winspirit Casino, High Roller, and OPAP. Betiton was also nominated for the Rising Star in Sports Betting award.
SiGMA Europe Awards - Best Affiliate Program 2023[edit]
Betiton Partners received the prestigious Best Casino Affiliate Program of the Year award at the 2023 SiGMA Awards, which took place in Malta in November.[10] This award acknowledges Betiton's innovative approach to its affiliate program and its successful partnerships with its numerous affiliate partners. The other nominees in this category were BlueChip Partners, BOSS Partners, and V.Partners.[11]
Expansion[edit]
Betiton entered the industry with an aggressive expansion strategy involving launching in several jurisdictions. The premium gambling platform operates in 11 different jurisdictions and markets, having acquired multiple gambling licences over the years. Betiton was launched under licences from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC), which allowed the company to operate in many jurisdictions immediately.[12] When the platform was founded in 2020, the Betiton website was launched simultaneously in most of the markets that it operates in. The Betiton casino and sports betting platform are available in six languages. Its parent company, Sharp Connection Ltd, is registered in Malta and is licensed by the MGA under Malta's gambling laws.[13]
The United Kingdom[edit]
Betiton is a licensed online betting platform that offers a wide range of betting services to players in the United Kingdom. The company has a valid and active remote betting licence, which it obtained from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission in 2020. This licence allows Betiton to provide players with online slots, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and video poker games. Betiton Sports is also available in the UK, offering an online sportsbook with over 35 sports.
Ireland[edit]
The Betiton platform received a clearance to operate in Ireland the same year it was launched. They acquired an Irish Remote Bookmaker’s Licence which allows the company to operate legally within Ireland. The Irish version of the Betiton site offers the same range of sports betting markets and casino games as the UK website, but members can use Euros for gambling.[14]
Canada[edit]
Betiton started its operations in Canada when the website was launched under the MGA licence. This licence permits the operator to offer their services in provinces where remote gambling is allowed. In Canada, the website provides a French version of the Betiton platform, which has both a casino and a sportsbook.
New Zealand[edit]
Since its creation in 2020, Betiton has been operating in New Zealand. The MGA remote gambling licence allows Betiton to offer its online casino gambling products and sportsbook service to New Zealand.
Chile[edit]
Betiton expanded its global reach by joining the Chilean market when it was launched. The website is now available in Spanish and allows users to play casino games, live casino, and online sports betting using Chilean Pesos. Germany[edit]
Betiton obtained a licence from the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL) to enter the German market in June 2023.[15] The online gaming platform of Betiton in Germany is available in both English and Deutsch languages. However, the website doesn't offer sports betting services in Germany.
Austria[edit]
Betiton became available to Austrians in 2023 when it launched a German version of the site, offering solely its online casino service. The brand operates under the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL) licence.
Media Partnerships[edit]
In May 2023, Betiton brought on board former Liverpool and Marseille striker, Djibril Cissé, as their brand ambassador.[16] The aim was to enhance Betiton's brand image and help the company become a leading operator in the industry.[17] In addition to his role as the company's brand ambassador, Cissé was also appointed as Betiton's in-house football expert. He provided exclusive football predictions and tips on the Betiton Sports platform.[18][19] Betiton's CEO, Arnaud Serour, commented on the partnership, saying that besides being one of the biggest football legends, Cissé "has also overcome major injury setbacks", making him the perfect fit for the growing brand.[20]
