Astoria Hotels and Resorts[edit]

Astoria Hotels and Resorts is a Filipino-owned hospitality chain in the Philippines. Since 2001[1], it has established itself in some of the country’s ideal locations to cater to business travelers and travel enthusiasts.

For business travelers, Astoria Plaza and Astoria Greenbelt are in the Ortigas and Makati Business Districts. Vacationers in Boracay Island in Aklan will find two of Astoria’s resorts: Astoria Boracay in Station 1 and Astoria Current in Station 3. Its southern property, Astoria Palawan, sits in Puerto Princesa. Finally, the member-exclusive Astoria Bohol may be found in the province of Baclayon.

Properties[edit]

Astoria Plaza[edit]

Astoria Plaza is in the Ortigas Business District and is about 45 minutes from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Built in 2001,[2] Astoria Plaza overlooks the Ortigas and Mandaluyong area and is accessible to nearby hospitals, malls, and other establishments. The hotel is equipped with bedroom suites for staycation purposes and has 2 boardrooms and 4 function rooms for business travelers.

Astoria Plaza is also home to its Japanese-themed restaurant, Minami Saki By Astoria[3] as well as its buffet restaurant outlet Café Astoria.

Near the hotel stands Chardonnay Events Hall By Astoria, an events hall designed for MICE, concerts, weddings, and exhibitions. It is at 352 Capt. Henry P. Javier, Pasig, Metro Manila 1600 and is about a 10-minute drive from Astoria Plaza.[4]

Astoria Boracay[edit]

Built in 2010, Astoria Boracay is the first Boracay resort property of Astoria Hotels and Resorts. Location at Station 1, the resort’s interiors and furnishings for all 71 suites and rooms pay homage to the multi-hued aesthetics of the property, with design-driven details by Atelier Almario and Gallego & Associates.[5]

Astoria Boracay also hosts its own brightly appointed restaurant, aptly named White Café. Astoria Boracay has amenities which include function rooms with a seating capacity of up to 80 people for company excursions, a pool, a garden area, and a fitness gym.[6]

Astoria Bohol[edit]

Astoria Bohol was built in 2012 at Baclayon town for members of Astoria Vacation and Leisure Club Inc.[7] Just 10 minutes away from Tagbilaran City, the resort offers privacy and exclusivity in its 8 suites. Its 24-meter infinity pool overlooks the Mindanao Sea, while a fitness trail is also available for trekkers. A library is also available for members wanting a different kind of journey.[8]

10 minutes away from Astoria Bohol is Astoria Bohol Lantawan, a more private abode that contains 2 villas, which can accommodate 12 guests in all. The property also includes an infinity pool.

Astoria Palawan[edit]

2014 saw the rise of Astoria Palawan in Puerto Princesa. Overlooking the Sulu Sea and surrounded by forests and grasslands, it is the biggest property of Astoria Hotels and Resorts to date.[9] The resort provides 4 different accommodation sites around the property and has 3 restaurant outlets to cater to guests.  Amenities include 3 pools, a gym, gaming rooms, karaoke, and spa. It is also home to Puerto Princesa’s biggest waterpark—Palawan Waterpark By Astoria.[10]

Astoria Palawan is also the home of its conference and convention center, Mangrove Conference & Convention Center By Astoria. Mangrove, as it is known, is a function hall with 439sqm of space with a seating capacity of 450 persons.[11]

Astoria Greenbelt[edit]

Opened in March 2015, Astoria Greenbelt became the sixth addition to Astoria Hotels and Resorts’ line of accommodations. The boutique hotel sits along Arnaiz Avenue at the heart of the Makati Business District. Located centrally and surrounded by the city’s malls, restaurants, bars, offices, and hubs of public transportation, it is close to everything a traveler may need. The property has an executive boardroom and its own restaurant, Tableau.[12]

Astoria Current[edit]

Astoria Current was built in 2015, five years after Astoria Boracay’s launch. Located at Station 3 on Boracay Island, the property offers 5 different room types and is home to 2 different pools. Other amenities include a fitness gym, sauna, and spa. It is also the location of 2 function rooms, with the Annex Building D Function Room and its 140-person seating capacity, and the other, the Sales Deck Function Room, which can seat 100 people.[13]

Awards[edit]

Astoria Hotels and Resorts' properties have accumulated nominations, recognition, and awards from the following award-giving organizations. These include:

World Travel Awards[15]

RCI Gold Crown Resort[16]

Corporate Social Responsibility[edit]
