Aryan Rezaee[edit]

Aryan Rezaee is an Iranian musician. He is a Daf player, drummer & music teacher.

Career[edit]

Aryan Rezaee, born on March 6, 1988, is a Daf player and Drummer. From the age of 6, he entered the world of music with the Santour instrument. From the age of 10, he learned the basics of playing the Daf with professors such as Vandad Masahzadeh, Massoud Habibi, and “Bijan Kamkar.”[1]

Since 2007, he has studied drums with Nima Navapour, Hooman Ghaffari, and Arash Pazhand Moghaddam; and he has been teaching daf since 2005. His collaborations include playing the daf with the Kuban ensemble; Iran broadcasting orchestra; the Persepolis orchestra led by “Massoud Habibi," by singing of Bijan Kamkar and composed by Pedram Derakhshani; Daf and Ney Bijan Kamkar Band, Manjin orchestra led by Arsalan Kamkar[2]; "Why Did You Go" by “Homayoun Shajarian” and “Tahmoures Pournazeri” concert tour from the "Beyond Any Form" album[3], and Nasim Vasl and with the stars concert tour by Homayoun Shajarian.[4]

Aryan Rezaee has also collaborated with the "White Shadow" rock band, on the drums. His other activities include playing drums and daf in Arayeshe Khorshid Group, arranged by Kourosh Yaghmaei in 2008.[5]

Aryan Rezaee was presented in the field of refereeing in 2015, as a specialized referee of daf in the 25th Fajr Music Festival in Zanjan province; also as a specialized referee of daf in Abhar city music festival[6]; And in 2017, as a referee of the percussion instruments section in the first talent search of Pournazeri Music Academy.[7]

Aryan Rezaee was Daf player alongside other Iranian Artists on The Persian Path show in Icelandic Folk Music Festival in 2021.[8][9][10][11]

He played Daf in World Sacred Spirit Festival in Jaipur, India (2020)[12]

He played percussion with Hamid Khansari in Iceland Reykyavik Music Festival (2021) [13]

Hw was a drummer in Tahmoures Pournazeri praised concert "Baaz Amadam" (2023) [14]

He teaches in Pournazeri Academy, Kamkars Academy & Nasser Cheshmazar Academy.[15]
