Submission declined on 16 April 2024 by Pbritti (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. - Comment: Hi Annika59. Please read about sourcing; there are ample sources that you can use to establish April Showers' notability and tell her story. If you do a specific search such as "April Showers Afro Unicorn" you will find that she has received substantial media attention for both Afro Unicorn and her children's books. - Comment: Many of these sources are not fully independent of the subject, meaning they fail to contribute to notability. Other sources appear promotional, such as the press release (which can be used to derive information but not to establish notability). The subject may be notable, but additional reliable sources are needed. Pbritti (talk) 06:11, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
