Dizajrud-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان ديزجرود شرقي)[3] is in Qaleh Chay District of Ajab Shir County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Javan Qaleh.[5]

At the census of 2006, its population was 8,914 in 1,993 households.[6] There were 7,589 inhabitants in 2,155 households at the following census of 2011.[7] In the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,839 in 2,127 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Chenar, with 1,277 people.[2]
