Church in Demjata

Demjata (Hungarian: Deméte, Rusyn: Демята) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

History[edit]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330.

Geography[edit]

The municipality lies at an altitude of 291 metres and covers an area of 11.49 km2 (4.44 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1] It has a population of about 1,101 people (2020-12-31).[2]
