Adults are on wing from June to July in one generation per year.[3] The larvae feed on Arenaria serpyllifolia, Cerastium arvense, Cerastium glomeratum, Stellaria holostea and Stellaria media. They create a trivalved tubular, silken pale brown case of about 8 mm (0.31 in) long. It has a mouth angle of 25°-30°. The case has a double dorsal keel.[4] Full-grown larvae can be found in May.
