Usage note[edit]

Please note that this category is not for any unincorporated settlement in Nova Scotia that people call a village; it is only for the 22 communities that are specifically accorded the legal status of "village" by Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations as listed here. Other unincorporated communities are categorized by the appropriate subcategories of Category:Communities in Nova Scotia by county. Bearcat (talk) 21:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I put this in the lede but it would be cool to get Villages of Nova Scotia as an article to better explain/reference this. See e.g. Villages of Alberta -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 18:16, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK wait nevermind I have found something and hopefully y'all can take it from here. -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 18:21, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
