Usurpers[edit]

Usurpers? Then Vijaya was the First Usurper of Srilanka from Kuveni's Father. This usurper category should be deleted.--Tenkasi Subramanian (talk) 12:45, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And also they are all not Sinhalese.--Tenkasi Subramanian (talk) 12:47, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tenkasi Subramanian you are not wrong, a usurper is one who wrongfully or illegally seizes the throne and holds the place of another, and that has happened multiple times in the the Sinhala Kingdom. Some of those would be Kashyapa I of Anuradhapura and Lilavati of Polonnaruwa but I have not included these as I have not done enough research yet on those monarchs to be 100% sure. Prince Vijaya can also be considered, but I think is not because he and Kuveni (the ruler at the time) married each other and had children. I would much rather if an article was included here it be 100% sure and researched than it be included on a "probably was" reasoning hence why I have not included them yet. Thanks.--Blackknight12 (talk) 02:46, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is the words "wrongfully or illegally" meant for here? At monarchy Times winner of the war only ruled the place which was the cause for war. Then how it can be illegal or legal? At that time there is no UNO or League of nations. Then this category must be deleted or at least the name should be changed.

//Prince Vijaya can also be considered, but I think is not because he and Kuveni (the ruler at the time) married each other and had children.//

Was Kuveni the ruler at the time? No. She is just the Princess. You includes all the Six Dravidians and Five Dravidians in this category. If means I can also include all the Sinhalese kings since Vijaya itself an usurper. Then Tamils must not be the Usurpers who won battle with the Sinhalese whose ancestor Vijaya himself an usurper.--Tenkasi Subramanian (talk) 06:24, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
