I just added 'and slave owners' to the description because not everyone who received compensation was a slave trader, they were compensated for the slaves they owned. There are also people who received compensation in their position as trustees, assignees, executors etc, so they wouldn't really qualify under slave trader or slave owner...?

Could be worth referring as a 'see also' at the top of the page other useful categories, e.g. British slave owners. DrThneed (talk) 03:09, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
