Proposal for the deletion of this page[edit]

Good day, everyone.

Since we now have a dedicated page for the History of philosophical pessimism, I found it pertinent to raise the following proposal to you.

Considering that we already have the List of philosophical pessimists" (started by user "Fantastiera" on 19 August 2023‎), this current list - "Philosophers of pessimism" - seems superfluous (which was started on 24 April 2020‎ by the user "Throughthemind"); besides including, in my own experience with philosophical pessimism, some questionable names.

Therefore, I believe it would be in our best interests - in order to avoid repetition - to delete this page and keep the most recent list intact instead. @Fantasiera, @Throughthemind @Delukiel.

Oh neat, I didn't know that it was done. Good work, Fantastiera!

I'd agree this list seems superfluous, except that it's a category rather than a list like the former. My inclination is that we could get rid of this category, replace it with "philosophical pessimists", and categorize "List of philosophical pessimists" under it, as well as the pages for all of those philosophers.

But in the end all that really accomplishes in renaming the page, haha. So I think it'd be totally fine to just delete this category. Delukiel (talk) 04:38, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
