Untitled[edit]

Is there a case for changing the name of this category? I have been told that only men can be added to this. Therefore perhaps 'Men of the Tudor period', to match the existing category, 'Women of the Tudor period' would be a more precise title?Boleyn (talk) 09:52, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More than just the English[edit]

I've added the category People in Welsh history. This category presently includes Welsh people from that period who neither lived in England or even spoke English (e.g. Welsh poets). (Harri Tudur, better known in English as Henry Tudor, was of Welsh blood, of course). I'm not too happy about including several hundred English people in a sub-category of People in Welsh history (no offence!), but at the same time it is completely unacceptable to include Welsh people from this period in the category People in English history (true for Harri Tudur, perhaps, but certainly not for Dafydd Llwyd o Fathafarn) without them being in the equivalent Welsh category. Either the Welsh history cat stays or those Welsh people go (you may keep H.VII). Enaidmawr (talk) 22:29, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Articles on notable Tudor people waiting to be created[edit]

If you are interested in helping with this project, there is a list of redlinks to Tudor MPs and notables at User:Boleyn/Tudor people, and a link to an online reliable source, and a template to create the articles. Boleyn (talk) 18:13, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We're now up to 3500 articles in this category! Boleyn (talk) 08:14, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
