Concept of openness[edit]

Open source is one kind of "openness" but it is a technical term with a long history and refers only to a type of software. It is not a general term for anything that is "open".

In this discussion Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2013_May_31#Category:Open_methodologies there was no consensus to do anything yet somehow "open methodologies" was deleted and all contents merged here. I am not sure what the name of the category for "open methodologies" should be but it definitely is not "open source". Blue Rasberry (talk) 06:28, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
