Lawrie McLachlan[edit]

Would who ever keeps deleting the profile of East Stirlingshire's most important player from at least pre WW2 and possibly ever please desist. It is bad enough that a lot of orginal research is has been removed from this site or is now wrongly cited as orginating form other sources wrongly in favour of copying errors (from other sites without any explaination and reason). Lawrie is too important to East Stirlingshire FC to be discarded in this way by ill-informed persons. Without Lawrie in the 1880s there would be no ES today at this level, or possibly even a club at all.

Recently East Stirlingshire recognised Lawrie's part on the club's history on the occasion of the 100th anniversay of his death (26/12/1912) and part of the club programmes at that time was dedicated to him. Lawrie was the great early captain of the club and was one of the all-time club goalscorers so when his profile is continually deleted by unknown persons for unknown reasons it is totally unacceptable.

I used to update this site with factually correct information but due to it being deleted for no reason and used wrongly (or citing wrong orginal sources) I will no longer do this. A new historical ES website is under construction which will be tamper free as the most damage than anyone can do to the history of a club is to repeat/copy errors from other websites without doing orginal research. For years the copying of the foundation date was a joke.

I will not be updated this site further as I has no control over it but I will continue to re-post Lawrie on the players players page each and every time it is maliciously deleted.
