Things you can do
After July 2012 the "winners" category Carnegie Medal in Literature winners contains only writer biographies. Before July 2012 that category contained only book articles, so the report on our coverage of "winning works" --now this category-- originated on that talk page. -P64 2013-10-13

Coverage (import)[edit]

This section (and this talk page) begins with 2012-07-30 import of two entries, one boldface and one reply, from Category talk: Carnegie Medal in Literature winners. See the note above. -P64 2012-07-12 and 2013-10-13

There are 69 pages in the [winners] category as I create its Talk page. That constitutes full coverage in the following sense.

Through 2011/2012 there have been 73 Medals and 73 winning works (in 76 award cycles because there was no award three times). Out Table of winners now displays 69 bluelink titles and 4 redlinks.

I have not checked the 67 linked articles (and pages in the category) whose titles match the Medal-winning book titles. I have checked the two mis-matching titles and confirmed their categorization. 2003 winner A Gathering Light was first published in the U.S. as A Northern Light. 1961 winner A Stranger at Green Knowe is part of the Green Knowe series. --P64 (talk) 00:16, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In the last few days I have put about 20 biographies of Medal-winning authors in the category. If and when it is renamed Category:Carnegie Medal in Literature winning works, which is a mouthful, I will re-cat the authors in a new category with the current name. --P64 (talk) 18:12, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And on a pass thru all winning works articles I have advanced the Carnegie Medal coverage in every one, at least by improving the formal reference. With several other systematic revisions such as See also {Portal bar}. --P64 (talk) 20:49, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Coverage[edit]

Late in July 2012, population of this category is in progress during a pass thru all articles on Medal-winning books. Initially there are 69 book or series articles in Category: Carnegie Medal in Literature winners, which will retain only the biographies of Medal-winning authors. --P64 (talk) 22:09, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here now there are 69 book or series articles on winning works and the other four winning works are redlinks (so this category is complete). The other category now contains 21 biographies of winning authors (whereas most of the 66 authors have biographies). --P64 (talk) 20:49, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Coverage remains complete as we have no article on the 2013 winning work. --P64 (talk) 02:01, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
