This is certainly a useful category, which should not be deleted. I do find the standard text "This list may not reflect recent changes" somewhat macabre and inappropriate. MrCleanOut (talk) 17:19, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
@Thinker78: the category page header says "It does not include other politicians who were assassinated such as certain monarchs or presidents, depending on the context better categorized as heads of state or other relevant category." It should be understood thus, "It does not include other politicians who were assassinated such as certain monarchs or certain presidents". T For example, in Israel, the president is only head of state, the prime minister is head of government. In the USA, the president is both head of state and head of government. That's the context.
