Atefeh Khademolreza (Persian: عاطفه خادم الرضا) is an Iranian-Canadian film director, writer, and animator, currently resides in Toronto, Canada.[1][2][3]
Career[edit]
Khademolreza received her B.A. in film directing at the Sooreh University in Tehran, a Certificate in Filmmaking from the Asian Film Academy in South Korea and has an M.F.A in film production from York University in Toronto.[4][5][6] In 2003, she wrote and directed her first short film Warm Bath.[7] From 2021 to 2022, she served as Filmmaker in Residence at the Toronto International Film Festival's Micki Moore Residency.[8] Most recently, she directed the animated short film Meteor, premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.[9][10]
Khademolreza is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada, and a founding member of Association of Iranian Film and Theatre Artists Abroad (AIFTAA).[2]
