Air Vice-Marshal Alastair Peter Thomas Smith is a senior Royal Air Force officer. He serves as commander, Joint Helicopter Command.

RAF career[edit]

Smith was commissioned into the RAF on 20 April 1990.[1] After serving as commanding officer of RAF Shawbury,[2] he became Assistant Chief of Staff (Military Strategy and Defence Engagement) in August 2020[3] and commander, Joint Helicopter Command in March 2023.[4]
