The 2024 Baltimore Orioles season is the 124th season in Baltimore Orioles franchise history, the 71st in Baltimore, and the 33rd at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. They enter the season as the defending AL East champions. The Orioles attempt to improve on their 101–61 record from the previous season and win the AL East for the second consecutive season.

Offseason[edit]

The Orioles finished the 2023 season as AL East division champions and the top seed in the AL, but swept by the Texas Rangers in the 2023 American League Division Series.

They will look to improve on their 101–61 record and attempt to win the AL East for the 2nd straight season.

Camden Yards[edit]

Stadium lease negotiations were led by Maryland Governor Wes Moore (left) and Orioles then-CEO John P. Angelos (right)

On September 28, 2023, it was reported that the Orioles came to an agreement with the City of Baltimore and the State of Maryland on a 30 year lease agreement with two five year options that can extend the lease into the 2060s.[1] Negotiations on the team's stadium lease were finalized in December 2023, which transferred responsibility for stadium operations and maintenance to the Orioles and reworked the team's rent payment terms, but postponed an agreement on the team's ground lease and redevelopment plans until 2027 following concerns from Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson.[2][3]

Ownership[edit]
