Sankardev[edit]

It is written in this article that Sankardev fled the Ahom kingdom during the reign of Suklenmung, but as for some historical records and Guru Charita or the Chronology of Guru shows that Sankardev and Madhavdeva fled the Ahom kingdom during the reign of Suhungmung. Please clarify this doubt. I have historical documents to prove my claim. Do produce or name some book where it is shown as Sankardev fled Ahom kingdom during the reign of Suklenmung.Lachitbarphukan (talk) 16:23, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I too have seen it written often enough as Suhungmung. But I have done the math carefully and the time of Hari's execution ends up during Suklenmung's reign. Look at the graphic here. I shall correct it as soon as the puzzle is resolved. Chaipau (talk) 17:13, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That it is Suklenmung is confirmed by Neog "Early History of..." page 62 (2008 reprint). Chaipau (talk) 09:25, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The name of book is incomplete. "Early History of...". The writer Neog you have mentioned, is his full name is Maheswar Neog? Please give a citation in article where it is mentioned that the incident of Hari's execution and Sankardev fleeing Ahom kingdom happened in the reign of Suklengmung to prevent further controversies. Also mentioned the fact that some historical document stated that the above incident happened during the reign of Suhungmung. Otherwise readers might get confused.Lachitbarphukan (talk) 17:00, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
