Sadiya Serpent Pillar[edit]

@Safe haven123, Hey, it seems according to the current activites, constitutes in edit warring. There is no citation 'about its builder', and the snake pillar in ' Tamreswari Temple' is not related to this, also the citation you have used falls under WP:OLDSOURCES. Please add newer sources which are more verifiable. ComparingQuantities (talk) 12:06, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

yes the builder is unknown that what is written , also no new source exist about this pillar, if you have one please update the source Safe haven123 (talk) 12:08, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Safe haven123, it has been clearly mentioned that the pillar dates back to the reign of 'Suhunmung', and so it can be culminated that the pillar was built by him. Also what does the snake pillar of Tamreswari temples has to do here, if there are no new reliable sources regarding it, there is no need to stuck on unreliable sources as it affects the quality of the page. ComparingQuantities (talk) 12:31, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Suhunmung inscribed tai words in into it, he didnot build the pillar, please know the difference Safe haven123 (talk) 12:35, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are you seriously talking about those persons who inscribed those letters in it or carved it? As per the sources the pillar goes by his reign, if you want to modify it, add a reliable source. Also check WP:NOR. ComparingQuantities (talk) 12:42, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is a difference between who build the pillar and who puts in letters into it, the builder is still Unknown Safe haven123 (talk) 12:52, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have clearly not given any sources or references regarding it and you are still modifying the page without any solid base. Please do not edit this page anymore unless you have a reliable source to prove your claims, reconsider the rules regarding WP:VANDAL. ComparingQuantities (talk) 12:57, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The sources are provided below Safe haven123 (talk) 13:34, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Wharton p8 the source that you have provided says:

The earliest examples of Ahom script are from the sixteenth century: on the Sadiya Snake Pillar (at the Assam State Museum, Guwahati), a lithic inscription most probably made some time after 1524 CE when the area came under Ahom control

It states Ahom script being found on the the snake pillar not who made or build the snake pillar, please know the difference! You have added the date of the inscription being found (after 1524) in the pillar as the date of the builder Safe haven123 (talk) 22:02, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Stop modifying further, no WP:NOR ComparingQuantities (talk) 01:31, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please provide new source Safe haven123 (talk) 01:44, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are confusing between the builder of the pillar and the inscription, the buidler is unknown, phukan doesnot state Ahom build that pillar Safe haven123 (talk) 01:53, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Safe haven123 Nobody cares about who was the construction worker in Empire state building, Phukan 1997 says It was issued by Thao mong Lung Phrasen Mong, a general of Suhunmung, edit warring will just aggravate this situation. Let it be in original form, will see after discussion. For now, try to provide some reliable sources. ComparingQuantities (talk) 01:59, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Missed my point again, the pillar was there before the Ahom captured the area, The Ahoms just inscribed Tai words into the already build pillar, so please known the difference , the buidler of pillar is unkown. Even the Assam state museum says that Safe haven123 (talk) 02:02, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If it was it requires at least a citation, you can't add it according to your own knowledge? I am trying to find additional references, so please don't add anything without discussion done here. ComparingQuantities (talk) 02:07, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Safe haven123, discuss here! ComparingQuantities (talk) 02:11, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Citation are already provided why are you removing those Safe haven123 (talk) 02:13, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
you don't understand 'New relibale source'. For now I am asking you not to edit anymore on this topic. I am trying to find additional references, by the past activities it already constitutes under edit warring. ComparingQuantities (talk) 02:17, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Could you explain who build the pillar Safe haven123 (talk) 15:24, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Either, most likely Ahoms or obscurely the Mishimis according to the dates. And no, it wasn't built by the Chutias in whom the letters were inscribed by the Ahoms latter, even if so did, verification and research needed, which is not our work to do. ComparingQuantities (talk) 15:31, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The builder is unknown thats the point Safe haven123 (talk) 16:21, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not your part to conclude that by your own, as per the sources are going its right to place it in (1532). ComparingQuantities (talk) 16:55, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The inscription is from 1532 Safe haven123 (talk) 17:04, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
