- These announcements need to be read carefully. The national park reserve (it is NOT a national park) has not yet been created. No bill has been tabled in parliament, so there is no existing park reserve. See the news release, here, noting the last point under Quick Facts: "Harper Government Announces Creation of a National Park Reserve in the Mealy Mountains of Labrador", Parks Canada news release, July 31, 2015.
- Also, the name of the proposed NPR is not Mealy Mountains. It is Akami–uapishku - KakKasuak - Mealy Mountains National Park Reserve. Yoho2001 (talk) 06:16, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
