The Maithili Literature has become diversified in its content and authorship, a large share of credit goes to him.--Umeshberma (talk) 09:11, 5 May 2011 (UTC) Mithilakshara: He was pioneer in standardization of Mithilakshar script. The Unicode encoding applicant has acknowledged his contribution as "Gajendra Thakur of New Delhi graciously met with me and corresponded at length about Maithili, offered valuable specimens of Maithili manuscripts, printed books, and other records, and provided feedback regarding requirements for the encoding of Maithili in the UCS." (ISO/IEC JTC1/SC2/WG2 N3765; L2/09-329; 2009-09-30Towards an Encoding for the Maithili Script in ISO/IEC 10646; Anshuman Pandey; University of Michigan; Ann Arbor, Michigan, U.S.A.; pandey@umich.edu; 30 September 2009); and has included in references "Thakur, Gajendra. 2009. “Videha”, a fortnightly Maithili e-journal. http://www.videha.co.in/."--Manojberma77 (talk) 04:17, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The casteist and racist people tried to do all these vandalism earlier, and a long discussion ensued on notice board and matter was settled long ago.--Umeshberma (talk) 15:16, 9 May 2012 (UTC) MithilaDesham, Vikas11004315, Akshat38 all these ids are involved in vandalism in respect of articles related to Mithila and Maithili. Every three four months they misuse the notices of wikipedia. Its actually win for quality maithili literature movement of videha, which has opposed the capture os Sahitya Akademi awards/ assignments by a handful of persons. In the history of Maithili literature, and in the research of old age manuscripts of Maithili written in Tirhuta and Kaithi scripts, the of Gajendra Thakur will be remembered for ages. As his decipherment of manuscripts has brought forth many inconvenient facts faor the purist, it is natural that they will oppose this greatest personality that the Maithili literature has ever produced.Even when this issue settles these people will again come after 3-4 months for mud-slinging campaign, as they are unsuccessfully trying to spread hate among the classes.--Kapileshwar.raut 04:01, 10 May 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kapileshwar.raut (talkcontribs) The same person have started doing this with diiferent id's at AFD. The libelous languages used by AKSHAT38 has been repeated, it shows that the castiems regroups in 3-4 months and have deletion agenda at wekipedia and are involved in feeling wikipiedia MAITHILI articles is reactionary use. Regarding notability of Gajendra Thakur I agree with view of umeshbrema/manojberma77/prinyak.rachna.jha/kapilehwar.raut and I have no doubt that the works/research work/ creative writing of Gajendra Thakur and the VIDEHA Maithili litrature movement initiated by him puts him notable living person catagoery.--Ashishanchinhar (talk) 06:01, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Publications evidence[edit]

This page seems to be be sourced to the author and his immediate contacts. Is there any independent evidence for the availability and impact of the books? There appear to be no copies held by the National Library of India, and Shruti Publications does not appear to have a website. Martinlc (talk) 15:41, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
