Johannes Duncker as a source[edit]

Is Johannes Duncker okay as a reliable source? christophernolan.net is obviously a fan site, but it looks classy. I checked other Nolan film articles and none use Duncker as a source, so I question whether we should here. Thoughts?

Eh, you're probably right. I think I was being a bit hasty with my sources there. But it's information that shouldn't be too hard to source from somewhere else. On a related note, what's the consensus regarding the use of DVD commentaries as a source? Because Nolan's commentary on Following is a goldmine.JMalky (talk) 15:56, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Budget in US dollars?[edit]

The name Danny Lloyd[edit]

I removed the speculative item about the origin of the name "Danny Lloyd" as coming from an actor in "The Shining". This does not seem to be true. According to the commentary on the DVD, the name was from David Lloyd a crewmember. David's credit card was used as a prop, but he did not want David to be used but he said that Danny was OK to go with the "D Lloyd" on the card.AbramTerger (talk) 16:18, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why doesn't it say his name is Bill[edit]

Many times Cobb refers to the young man as Bill, so why doesn't this article name him as such? Are you not putting this in the article because he is credited as the Young Man? The young man tells Cobb that his name is Bill and tells the blonde that his name is Daniel Lloyd. Cobb's reaction to the name "Bill" seems to suggest that Cobb knows he is being lied to and that that it is not Bill. We learn at the end that D Lloyd is the name the young man took from the credit card and that he was also lying to the blonde. The credits confirm that we don't have a name for the young man and the article went with what he was credited as.AbramTerger (talk) 15:01, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree and +1 for what @AbramTerger: brilliantly expressed above; when The Young Man tests Cobb's powers of deduction by burglarizing his (TYM's) own dismal studio or flat, Cobb notices the UB40 slip (Unemployment Benefit Form 40), but probably would've noticed had the form said Bill on it. Btw Rotten Tomatoes stupidly credits him as Bill; shouldn't they use the precise end-credits' text?? -From Peter {a.k.a. Vid2vid (talk | contribs)} 07:19, 11 January 2021 (UTC).[reply]

Article titled Following, not "Following (film)?"[edit]

This WP article is merely titled, "Following," not "Following (film)?" I guess with Wikipedia there is some convention that the first article in does not require disambiguation text to the right... My Google search result showed a preview snippet of text that just says, "Following - Wikipedia," and below that, numbered links showing that there are other pages or articles called Following, with which the reader should not be confused. -From Peter {a.k.a.
