So what is a brimful of Asha? Does one take a piece of Asha Bhosle and put it in a brim, or something? JIP | Talk 20:46, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, and you're a lamer -Tim

No, it's Asha full to the brim or overflowing. -Acjelen 14:19, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm scared!! This is in my contributions and I don't remember editing this!MJN SEIFER 18:45, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a play on words ... asha also means hope ... "Brimful of Hope" Get it? --132.216.3.38 17:14, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do. But what's 45 got to do with it? — Kpalion(talk) 18:47, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Asha is Indian for Hope." which Indian exactly? there's only about 200+ kinds of "Indian" to choose from. 72.138.113.232 (talk) 01:52, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Asha is a Sanskrit word. Kpalion, are you old enough to remember vinyl records, and that the smaller ones were called 45s? I always thought this song was about the joy of pop music. Also, Channel 45 is an Indian-language television channel in Britain. Eligius (talk) 23:11, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The audio sample is from the Fatboy Slim remix, not the original song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.200.246.240 (talk) 14:32, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

45 meaning[edit]

Throughout the song, "a brimful of Asha on the 45" is repeated. Is 45 a reference to old vinyl records that played at 45rpm? --NovaBrunswick 10:04, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
