@Arctodus-simus:
My university has both volumes of OCLC 17300892 in print, but 41+7+38+33+10 = 129 pages from the same book is a lot, so please filter it down somehow. You can search through it at Google Books and HathiTrust to find page numbers, or you can let me know what kinds/categories of information you'd be most interested in, and I'll do my best to help you out. (I think that any amount of information should be fine, but to respect copyright, I'd prefer to limit verbatim quotes/figures/pages to about 10% of the whole book.)
Solomon Ucko (talk) 20:16, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. This book is a volume of articles by various authors. I'm most interested in the chapters by Tassy and Shoshani, and Gentry and Hooker and also maybe Novacek, Wyss, McKenna. But I will be grateful for any of them. Arctodus-simus (talk) 21:02, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Arctodus-simus: I may be able to help with your narrowed request, or at least part of it. However, one other thing we require people requesting sources to do is identify at least one Wikipedia article (existing or not - it can be a new article they plan to write) that they intend to use the source to improve. Knowing this is necessary for us to make a reasonable claim of fair use of copyrighted materials. Since you are new to Wikipedia and have no content creation history here, I recommend you start by declaring a single topic that you could plausibly improve if you had one of the above chapters. --Worldbruce (talk) 06:50, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I don't seem to have access to Svenska Dagbladet from that date. I'll try poking at the website a little to see if I can get it that way, but if that doesn't work, I can request an ILL in about a week. Solomon Ucko (talk) 00:08, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any obvious way of getting it from the website. It looks like the print version only exists in European libraries, so it might be complicated to process, so I'll hold off for a few days as my university's ILL staff requested, then submit the ILL request. Solomon Ucko (talk) 14:53, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc Taxon:
I gave the request a deadline of about a month, and it has accordingly been cancelled. Given that it doesn't seem to be in the print version, I'm not sure if there's much they can do anyways.
Based on my limited understanding from cognates and photographs, I do see some articles in the print version that seem to be about police and/or terrorism, such as:
  • "Terrormisstänkt man jagas av Säpo" (p. 8)
  • "Krigsscener under razzia" (p. 10)
  • "17 döda i räd efter gruvexplosion" (p. 20)
  • "Så blev kärlekens stad ett terrornäste" (p. 28)
Let me know if you think any of these might possibly be useful, and I'll send you them.
Additionally, I have access to various news databases, so if you let me know what you're looking for information about, I can try to help you find another source for it.
Solomon Ucko (talk) 18:57, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just noticed that it's in Press Reader's collection, which I have access to through my public library, so I searched for the title, and manually looked through the issue for that date (https://www.pressreader.com/sweden/svenska-dagbladet/20151119/page/1), but found nothing.
I'll try putting in a request for an interlibrary loan for the digital version with an explanatory note, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
Solomon Ucko (talk) 15:44, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Buttlar/Gerhartl, Gertrud (1974). Die Niederlage der Turken em Steinfeld (1532). Österr. Bundesverl. für Unterricht, Wissenschaft und Kunst. p. 5-8.

I've included what I'm guessing is her maiden name(Buttlar)? Most works cite the book under Gerhartl.

R'n'B World or Afrostar, tabloid style music magazine published by Go Publishing, New York in 1968[edit]

  • "n/a". R'n'B World. New York: Go Publishing. 1968.

For Go Publishing, I'm looking for any archive or library that may have copies of R'n'B World or Afrostar, two tabloid-style music magazines published by Go Publishing, New York in 1968. They were given out free by radio stations and record stores, but I have only been able to find a couple of copies on eBay.

I'd like to confirm their publication dates, and any notable writers, as well as hopefully be able to browse them to add their content as references to other articles too.

Thanks, Jimmyjrg (talk) 06:43, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here's what I've been able to find (mostly on eBay, but some issues, mostly of Go, are available as digital scans through Adam Matthew Digital, and some of the eBay listings have high-quality photos):
R 'n' B World:
Afrostar:
I also found Go: (this list is incomplete)
I also found Soul:
I also found Zoo World / Zoo News:
If the title is hard to search for, sometimes searching for staff such as the publisher or the editor works better.
I also found some stuff about the publisher company:

Hi @Sollyucko, thank you for this great list. I'd seen some of them before, such as the digitised Go issues, but I appreciate all of the R'n'B World and Afrostar links. Jimmyjrg (talk) 06:33, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Movie reviews[edit]

{{resolved}} Hi, I would just like to request for the following movie reviews for Employee of the Month (2006 film):

AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 16:40, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The review is not in 2007 edition, presumably because it was published in August 2006, while the movie came out in October. I emailed you the review from 2008 edition. It's not exactly the same as the quote in the article, but that's the review that's available in 2008 edition, 2010 edition, and 2013 edition that's available through Google Books.
