Even if it may be genetically different enough to be considered a separate breed it isn't currently recognised as such. Other examples include: Belgian Shepherd, Poodle (size variations admittedly), and Dachshund.
The history of the breed could fit into a separate section under the Shiba Inu article and it seems more appropriate for it currently based on what I am seeing. Traumnovelle (talk) 06:13, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
