I would add other views that people have regarding the philosophy and points made in media coverage. Also, the statements of major figureheads would be explained more. As for the controversy, I would cover the views held on social media (where most of the movement took place) and in news outlets.

Article Critique[edit]

I believe that the Hashtag section of the article did not thoroughly talk about how the movement has evolved in the multiple social media platforms it listed, such as Facebook and Instagram. It could elaborate more on when the usage of this hashtag peaked in time since its birth and what the significance of its increase in usage was. I also think that for the See Also section it could have added the Black Boy Joy hashtag started by Chance the Rapper and others like it. - Crvazqu (talk) 16:44, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BGM Wiki Prior to Feb 2022[edit]

Is there a space to keep the information that was on the Black Girl Magic page prior to February 2022? There was a lot of information about the phrase and its use (including in music and sports) that has since been completely removed--seems like it may have to do with a copyright issue? Even so, I think the information should remain somewhere, even if the page has to be titled something slightly different or distinguished as a separate page from the "brand" page.

@Carraj13: I totally agree. A lot of good content has disappeared. I don't see explanations in the version notes, can anyone explain? JaneClawsten (talk) 14:56, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
