hangon tagging[edit]

This is not my article. However, pretty sure they're not trying to spam an entity that closed 9 years ago. That is a huge draw for that oeuvre. Notability claimed. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 01:08, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Defunct museums in the United States[edit]

This was not a museum, it was an art gallery. It is a closed art gallery, there may be a "defunct art gallery" category, but since I'm doing museum cleanup across the US, I'll leave that to someone more focused on the art galleries dm (talk) 06:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks for the clarification. You're a long-timer, so I won't badger you about the edit summary, I leave them off too, most times. I appreciate you coming back here. I'll take it out. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 06:18, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Truly an Era-Defining Space[edit]

I was a member here for several years and participated in many of the events, including producing the Naughty Girrls Nite event cited here, which was attended by almost 1,500 people on opening night. Most of the events had lines of people one and two blocks long, waiting to get in as a few people left, because the converted warehouse space was already at occupancy. Some of the most influential young artists in Boston at the time were part of the collective, and many went on to become instructors or develop notable artistic careers of their own. The affiliated artists spanned all genres, from experimental video and performance to large-format photography, mixed media, and two- and three-dimensional static and kinetic art. Another important focus of the group was cross-pollination between different artistic disciplines. For instance, some events would feature various experimental musical performances, and invite artists working in other disciplines to create simultaneous visual or performance production. Jessica Brand was an inspired and dedicated community leader who was able to accomplish much of lasting importance, through her efforts, with very few resources.

I have left this information out of the article because I can't cite it, but I observed it.Goldberg133 (talk) 20:27, 26 September 2009 (UTC)goldberg133[reply]
