Farah or Farrah is a feminine and occasionally masculine given name in Arabic, Persian or Urdu, derived from the concept of the Khvarenah (divine radiance, halo). It rose in usage in the Anglosphere due to associations with the American actress and model Farrah Fawcett (1947–2009), and American reality television personality Farrah Abraham (born 1991).
