Orphaned non-free image File:MI High.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:MI High.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 15:49, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Access dates[edit]

Why are your reference access dates always in the format "-09-01-2011"? At least remove the dash from before the 09, but "2011-01-09" or "9 January 2011" would be prefered. Thanks :-) AnemoneProjectors 21:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Music of the Spheres.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Music of the Spheres.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 20:49, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who-related screencaps and uploads[edit]

Please stop uploading non-free shots from Doctor Who episodes. There is no requirement or even consensus that every episode needs a screenshot in the infobox (this from the TV project guidelines); the only time they are appropriate is if there is critical discussion by sources about the elements of the scene, the people involved, or the scene itself (see, for example Turn Left, Vincent and the Doctor, and The Doctor's Wife (Doctor Who). All of the images that you have uploaded in the last week fail WP:NFCC requirements, specifically NFCC#1 and NFCC#8, and need to be brought to FFD, likely for deletion. --MASEM (t) 05:14, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

If you continue to upload crappy non-free images en masse despite large numbers being deleted and several editors at WT:WHO telling you that your fair-use rationales are too generic and inadequate, then I will initiate proceedings to have you banned from uploading non-free content altogether. ╟─TreasuryTaginternational waters─╢ 08:04, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Children of Steel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dipankan001 (talk) 15:27, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Children of Steel[edit]

Hello Sfxprefects, I'm posting this message on your talk page because I noticed that you've recently created the new article Children of Steel--However, I think the article seems to contain a few errors: the article does not contain Wikilinks, and so doesn't follow [[Wikipedia:Manual of Style {linking}|Wikipedia style guidelines]]. Have a fun and productive day! Cheers,Amy Z (talk) 05:11, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In Blu-ray Disc, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Southwest (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Greetings! A stub template or category which you created has been nominated for renaming or deletion at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type most likely doesn't meet Wikipedia requirements for a stub type, through failure to meet standards relating to the name, scope, current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals!
