Image:South stand.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:South stand.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ccwaters 18:51, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Attribution Required

When you removed links to my non-commercial web site (which gives additional visual information about the topics at hand) you forgot to remove the photographs with them. I've gone ahead and taken the images down, completely reverting the edits that upset you so much. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ForrestCroce (talkcontribs) 02:40, 5 January 2007 (UTC).

Nope, didn't forget (obviously, since you posted both the photo and the URL in the same edit). I didn't have a problem with your in-article photos, especially now that you reveal yourself to be such an upstanding gentleman... - Dudesleeper 03:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
This is the second time I've had to ask you to obey the licensing terms that go with my photos. They must be attributed with use. I'm perfectly happy to allow Wikipedia to use my photos, but if I don't enforce the license terms they'll fall into the public domain and I'll loose all rights to them - this I'm not willing to give up. Attribution goes with the photographs - you cannot use them otherwise. You can call me ungentlemanly, but what you can't do is violate the law. Please either return some form of attribution where the images are used, or remove them as well. Thank you. ForrestCroce 22:45, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Flag

So basically, the flags on the other pages don't bother you, but you do have a problem with u2 having a flag? why so selective? Billtheking 13:21, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Replied here.
Hello Dudesleeper. Why have you decided to delete flags (relating to individuals' birthplaces) from some articles, without explanation? Personally, I think the flags look nice, add colour to the articles, and graphically show somethng that may not always be well known, especially when an individual has moved from one country to another. Que-Can 21:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
It hasn't been without discussion (examples 1 and 2), and it's an ongoing topic here. - Dudesleeper 22:57, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello Dudesleeper. Okay, I see there's been discussion. I meant that when you remove a flag from an article, you might want to just mention why you are removing it. I can see there's a difference in opinion pro-flag vs. no-flag, e.g., it looks nice vs. it's just clutter. Thanks for the background info on this. Cheers. Que-Can 23:42, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Marti Pellow

I looked in the history of the Marti Pellow page and you were the last person to edit it. It says that Marti Pellow has died but that is not true. How and why did, if it was you, type that? Sorry, if it wasn't you! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.150.158.162 (talk) 21:42, 13 January 2007 (UTC).

The anonymous edit before my (the most recent) one said that. My edit removed it. - Dudesleeper 21:59, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

U2

re the names in small print, hmmm - OK, give it a go. Merbabu 13:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

PS, you're from Maine but you've been to Balmoral in Sydney? That's where I live. lolMerbabu 13:27, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
lol - so that is your brother's wedding in the rotunda? It's the exact same spot I I had my engagement party 2 years ago - but my wedding was in Indonesia! Merbabu 13:34, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
ha ha - well, are, "Bathers" was where we had breakfast before i proposed on the beach. Scary enough, we should call it quits before we work out we are related. ;)Merbabu 13:37, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Walter Smith

I'd say you're right. A lot of people aren't happy with him, so I'll put it on requests for semi protection. Archibald99 16:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

The request was declined, not enough recent activity apparently. I'll request again if it worsens. Archibald99 23:32, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Ribchester

Notice your interest in Ribchester and that you live in Maine. What's the connection?

Orthorexia nervosa

Since you have an obsession with external links, perhaps you'd like to make a positive contribution to Wikipedia and share your opinion - er, the other editors and censor the links section - on this page that really needs some attention? Orthorexia nervosa FireWeed 22:57, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

No, thanks. I try to stick to editing articles on subjects I'm familiar with. Yourself? - Dudesleeper 23:13, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Clarification

Are you User:Punkmorten? You've become so obsessed with the idea of editors impersonating other editors, one can only assume this is on your mind because this is a favourite practice of yours? FireWeed 00:24, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
