Managing a conflict of interest

Nomination of Christopher Coritsidis for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Christopher Coritsidis is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

I fail to see how the page on Christopher Coritsidis is in violation of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have reviewed the article and made edits to make it more neutral in tone.

Hello. The tone of the article isn't a concern. It's that Christopher Coritsidis doesn't appear to conform to Wikipedia's notability policy that sets forth criteria for inclusion of a topic on this site. I have reviewed your explanation and have edited the article as well as found additional links/references to confirm/affirm the notable activity of the Opus 1 Foundation. ˜˜˜˜

One reference briefly reports that a local concert was held, and mentions that "It featured internationally acclaimed stars; Christopher Coritsidis (violin) Jorge Viladoms (piano) and Anastasiya Roytman (soprano)." A bare mention of his name, no substantial coverage. The other source isn't coming up right now but I recall that when I glanced at it before, it was a brief report on a concert that was going to take place locally. Local entertainment and cultural coverage generally doesn't contribute to notability. I think I remember that it did mention the Opus 1 Foundation, insofar as it reported that the foundation sponsored the concert, but that isn't "substantial coverage". I've gotten the impression that foundation's mission is admirable, but whether we find something admirable doesn't assist in a finding of notability (and, conversely, finding that a subject doesn't meet the notability requirements isn't a judgment that an organization's mission is anything other than admirable).

Again thank you for trying to adhere to the credibility of my recent article. I have no personal nor professional affiliation with the subject of the page 'Christopher Coritsidis' as misinterpreted from my message regarding autobiographical content. I have not been paid nor do I have any motivation to promote the subject for any reason other than as a topic of general interest. ˜˜˜˜
