• That's great! If she doesn't want want to make an account, you can do the edits for her. I think the first thing is we need to do a Wikipedia search for articles that are under these two topics. Then we can have the experts, like your spouse, to review them and add the necessary tags so those who can edit know what needs to be done. I hope I'm getting this right since I'm still new to this. Are we looking to document different projects on the citizen science world (e.g. Zooniverse's projects; one project = one article) or more in the general sense? I'm involved on one of zooniverse projects which still doesn't has a page, but I'm not sure whether there are enough references to support the page. Dvdgc (talk) 20:01, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

• We are mainly looking at documenting different projects, although the Zooiverse main page can work if the projects within the main project/group/organization are in a table. Once there is enough information, a new page can be created. We can do general stuff also.Belkinsa (talk) 13:51, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

My focus is on integrating research workflows with the open and collaborative web, and particularly with Wikimedia projects. Have lots of materials on the matter, mostly in English but beyond the English Wikipedia. An example is the poster I am embedding on the side. Maybe I did not express myself clearly enough, but my point above was well about "updating pages" within the Wikimedia ecosystem being (or becoming) part of research workflows, and that includes citizen science activities of the kinds outlined in the poster. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 12:38, 16 April 2019 (UTC)

I am a professional in both Citizen Science and Open Science and work in a UK institute which specialises in both. I know VERY little about editing on WP but I have always been interested in learning more. T a august (talk) 15:08, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

I've been working on CitSci content here and there on Wikipedia and Wikidata like Daniel Mietchen, added a proposal to make this a formal WikiProject below... Proposing Create a WikiProject or formal Task force proposal for a visible Initiative to work on Citizen Science and Open Science in the Wikiproject Directory

Hello all! I've been working on Citizen Science in Wikipedia and other properties and thinking about what this might look like for a long time and mostly been operating in stealth on by not yet tapping the community yet to move the idea forward. Thanks for making making this move! Now that I saw this come across the email list I might as well lay out what I've been thinking so we can all discuss if this is within scope of what this "Roadmap" aims to do.

I think there is enough to create a project if not a task force which would have more visibility if there are enough of us interested in this subject to curate the project scope and this talk page can kickstart that. While the "project mission here outlines low hanging fruit I have a much larger idea to propose.

From a structural standpoint I think we would fit as a project or task force under the 1.1 Science section of WikiProject Science how this is more a meta level projects.

Proposal of a WikiProject - Open Science and Citizen Science and we could shorten to WikiProject OSCS or something.

Alternative Proposal of a Task Force.

I for starting a WikiProject in the Science, Technology, and Engineering directory if we have enough interest to sustain work. Details for adding either.

• Overlap with GLAM Wiki

My way of thinking about laying out a roadmap here is thinking what is Core to Topics within Citizen Science then What Information are Complements to DOING Citizen Science thinking more about the needs of projects, platforms, and individuals. What is used on more than one project and how can we collaboratively develop the content and/or point to complementary work and organizations that we might invite to join in this effort. This would be to develop a strategy like has been applied to the Women in Red for which Women in Citizen Science could be a proposed task force in the Women in Red project. I think we could outline possible task forces to tackle various projects if this was a broader open science and citizen science coordinating project. example of a task force.

Provide tiered system of prioritization based on core topic to related. This may also point to existing projects with related scope to specific non-core topics and track their progress on certain topics that overlap to Citizen Science.

I'd be happy to take the time to write up a larger more detailed outline of what I have been thinking related to citizen science in a proposal for a task force or WikiProject page.
